“In order to suppress the occurrence of dioxin, which is the main cause of cancer, 100% domestic sea salt is heated at a temperature of about 1,100°C to 1,300°C using a bio ceramic furnace that completely excludes components such as copper and iron, which are catalysts. It is premium salt that we produce.”

Question: Would you comment on your relationship with salt?
Answer: In 1996, Miwon and Daesang groups were separated from each other. And I began to travel across the country to find out real salt. While contemplating whether the existing salts are good salt, I researched real good salt that removes foreign substances harmful to the human body such as heavy metals and micro plastics contained in the salt.

Q: What do you think salt is?
A: Salt (NaCl) is sodium chloride. It exists in the natural world in the form of a cube crystal. When dissolved in water, it tastes salty. Since humans constantly excrete sodium, they need constant sodium intake to stay healthy. However, excessive sodium intake can also cause fatal damage.
 In the past, when salt was scarce, it was a material with enough value to be used as currency, but after the production of salt increased, it became a troublesome material to the extent that we had to worry about overconsumption.

In the Korean menu, it is often said that seasoned soups or salted fish that use salt as the main ingredient contain too much sodium and are not good for the body.
In the past, it was a menu that was made considering the fact that most Koreans sweat a lot like when they were engaged in agriculture or manual labor.
In today's society, however, the prevailing opinion is that it is not suitable for an era when people are sitting, working and hardly sweating.

In the end, salt is also the one who tells the very basic truth that if the living environment or type of work changes, the food you eat should also change.
Salt is made in several ways. Rock salt found in the mountain range is sometimes extracted, and it is also made by boiling seawater.
Sun-dried salt, commonly referred to as sola salt, is made by drawing seawater into the tidal flats of the sea and evaporating it using the sun's heat.
In addition, there was a method of boiling salt water with increased salinity in the tidal flats in Korea traditionally known as ‘jayeom’, but it has almost disappeared now.

Question: How do you know the quality of so many salts?
A: Sodium chloride, a single component, absorbs moisture when left in the air, and the proportion of water naturally increases. As the temperature of the air decreases, the amount of water absorbed in the salt decreases.
In addition, the amount of water has a significant effect on the quality of salt because the texture of salt varies greatly as the proportion of water changes.
Most of the salt composed of 99% sodium chloride is factory-refined salt, but since such salt is sealed and distributed, there is little opportunity for moisture to enter.
After that, many components are also SO4 components and Mg, that is, magnesium, etc. However, most of these substances are very insignificant in terms of quantity as they are very small amounts.

There are substances that are unavoidably mixed in trace amounts. Heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, lead, and arsenic are mixed with dioxins and environmental substances such as DEHP.
Most of these substances are regulated substances because they cause serious problems when ingested into the human body, but it is difficult to completely eliminate them with 0%.
Therefore, everyone has a standard value, and anything below that is just considered acceptable.

Q: Then, what kind of salt is good salt? Would you explain about solar salt?
A: Many people think that it is easy to make salt easily at the beach, but it is not.
Seawater contains about 2.5% salt and about 1% other minerals. In order to obtain solar salt from seawater, there must first be a tidal flat where salt fields can be decorated.
The wide tidal flats are suitable for making salt farms only when there is a moderate difference between the tides.
Salt is obtained by evaporating seawater. In addition, salt fields must be hot and dry enough to allow the water to evaporate quickly.
There are not many areas with such conditions. It is very limited in parts of the Mediterranean coast, western India, western Australia and Korea.
The west coast of Korea is one of the world's five largest tidal flats and the only large tidal flat on the Asian continent. The salt produced in this way is called 'sun-dried salt'.

What if salt consists of sodium chloride and water with no other substances at all?
It feels like distilled water. Distilled water is not, however, called “good water”.  Likewise, pure sodium chloride is not considered good salt from a food culture point of view.
The most common salt in Korea is a kind of solar salt, which contains a lot of magnesium in addition to water and sodium chloride.
Magnesium is a bitter-tasting substance and is not considered a very good ingredient. Getting rid of it is surprisingly easy. Hang the salt in a well-ventilated shade. Then, it absorbs moisture from the air and the magnesium dissolved in it flows down. This process is called 'removing the brine'.
Solar salt is just salt made by a natural method, and is not a word that guarantees quality in itself.
Then, what should be done with the contaminants that should not be eaten in the delicious solar salt?

Q: Would you explain about the molten salt produced by Bio Signal Korea?
A: It is produced in a natural furnace that emits far-infrared rays, so it has a good effect on the human body.
According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the temperature of salt is heated to 800℃ or higher, so the most important key is to completely remove impurities and heavy metals contained in the salt and solve the poison dioxin.
Due to the effect of abundant far-infrared rays generated in a natural furnace, freshness is maintained for a long time when food is cooked.
The taste of ‘molten salt’ is sweeter than other salts, and it has a special effect of adding flavor even with a small amount of seasoning.

It is a luxury salt boasting the best hygiene that dissolves very clearly and cleanly without any impurities when ‘molten salt’ is dissolved in water.
It is good salt that takes the lead in quality assurance and protection of the domestic industry because the raw material is domestic solar salt.
‘Molten salt’ is the best salt in terms of quality that is not inferior to any market in Korea as well as in the world.

Molten salt is the most important salt containing various minerals (potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, etc.) essential to the human body as it is.
Chairman Park said, “Don’t forget about 0.9% of the salt in the human body. It is important to maintain this concentration. Salt is responsible for essential functions necessary for survival, such as controlling the amount of water and cell size in the body, moving oxygen and nutrients into cells, promoting metabolism, transmitting nerve substances, digestion, adsorption and excretion of harmful gases, and muscle contraction.” 
The lack of salt is said to be the root of all diseases. In the interior of Africa, the salt trade has continued from ancient times to the present day.
The salt plates from Mali's famous Taudeni Mine span 700 kilometers across the Sahara. As such, salt was called “white gold” and was expensive enough to be exchanged for the same amount of gold.

The ancient Greeks bought slaves with salt. In the old days, there were many examples of poor people selling their daughters to get salt. This is the reason why salt also served as currency.
Even if salt dissolves in water, it becomes salt again through evaporation. In Islam and Judaism, salt was traded because of its constancy.
Chairman Park said, “Many countries, including Zambia and Africa, are interested in our molten salt. Because drinking water sources in Africa and underdeveloped countries are not clean, as you know, putting molten salt in it will adsorb impurities and purify them. There is a lot of movement.”

Q: Do you have a public goal? What do you want to say to modern people?
A: Ph. D. Do Young-bok of oriental medicine, said, “As we get older, our kidney function weakens, so we tend to eat salty. It is important to eat good salt.”
To put it simply, before eating good nutrients, we need to cleanse our body (cleaning the intestines with good salt) to see the effect.
Chairman Park said, “China is famous for rock salt (salt in the ground), but due to environmental pollution, it was operated by the government but passed to the private sector. Salt is a sensitive material to environmental pollution.”
Salt is called a natural preservative and is said to be excellent for detoxification.
Chairman Park said, “With salt, we will dramatically increase technology transfer and exports to the world. Salt is a gift from nature. Salt cannot be owned by any country or individual, and it is our mission to make good salt accessible to everyone.”
